pro-burbank. anti-surveillance state.
mission
End the militarized surveillance of Burbank residents and visitors. Protect our neighbors from unfair prosecution and data leaks. Promote the idea that our community keeps itself safe - not AI-based profiling machines.
thank you for coming out to the No alprs week of action (august 16-22)
As part of the No ALPRs Week of Action, Eyes Off Burbank hosted a Flock Walk to discuss our concerns and educate Burbank residents and neighbors about the issue. Around 20 people braved the heat of the day and stayed to further protest and raise awareness.
A further 20 people came to the Police Commission meeting later that week to tell them, once again, we want Flock and ALPRs out of Burbank!
the fight against alprs
We are fighting back against Automated License Plate Readers, particulaarly Flock Safety cameras, an AI-driven technology that has been shown to be used by ICE to fuel its deportation machine.
